I just brought this beautifull axe home, I traded in my Fender Squire Strat for this Washburn XM STD, and it is the perfect balance to play whatever your taste in music. I like Eagles , Blackfoot, Creedence Clearwater, and any southern rock music and some country and this plays fantastic. Has a beefy neck and jumbo frets and is easy to play. Wasburn did there homework on this guitar. If you choose this model you wont be sorry!!! Great Guitar! :)

I wanted something different looking, with all the lovely features of a super-strat but without the locking tremolo, this was the perfect guitar! Looks great, plays great. Sturdy build, excellent value, arrived with good intonation. When I take this guitar to jams and such people have rarely or never seen one before. Compared to Ibanez guitars where every other 15 year old shredder seems to have one! Most of the time I use it for rock and classic metal, but it fairs well for the occasional blues jam or 20 minute jazz odyssey. People tend to ignore the tone knob other than having it full on or full off, but this guitar benefits from experimenting with the middle-regions to get slightly fatter yet defined tones, similar to a Les Paul. If you think this guitar could be right for you, suiting the stuff you play, I would recommend you try it out.
