Washburn WI STD Review
Original Idol Series Electric Guitar by 'Washburn'
WI STD is the standard model form the Original Idol line of electric guitars. It is a model by which all other Original Idol models are being measured and judged. This solid flat-top comes with a single-cut body made completely of mahogany. Mahogany is Washburn`s favorite tonewood for the solid-bodied electric guitars, as it gives that full-throated tone with super strong low end. There is no top wood cover assigned for this model. Four color options are available for this model. All are finished in gloss and matched with black chrome hardware. Tune-o-matic bridge/stoptail bar combo is fronted by a pair of passive humbuckers. Set in neck is made of mahogany and it`s topped with a standard 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.

Wonderful sustain, nice neck. It can be very bluesy, which is what I wanted it for. My other guitar is a 1967 Epiphone Casino (P-90s). This has more meat. The Epi can seriously raunch. Or jazz for that matter.
I like the guitar (WI-STD,Washburn, double humbucker, 3-way switch) but I am having trouble setting up the tone and volume knobs. they seem standard. are they?
