Explorer was and still is very popular guitar shape. It`s popularity and influence have made it a common body contour for all guitar manufacturers to use. Washburn makes Explorer-like models for Paul Stanley`s signature series. There are five Explorer-like models in the PS series and PS 1800 CM is one of them. Solid, single-cut body, 24-3/4" scale and set in neck construction are some of the main features of this model. Body is made entirely of mahogany and it is paired with a mahogany neck. Cracked Mirror custom color scheme is the only color option for this model. Three-piece bridge section is fronted with a pair of active humbuckers. Neck on this model is topped with a standard 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.

Stock pickups were flat and muddy, changed them out with Seymour Duncan SH1 & SH4 JB and 59 pickups. Guitar is very heavy and big and awkward so basically good for doing a few KISS songs in a classic rock band
