Speedster is a well known concept from Traveler Guitars and the most popular six-stringer in it`s class. For 2014, Traveler revamps this magnificent axe with a completely new shiny gloss black color scheme. Along with it, Hot Rod gets the chrome-plated hardware and racing stripes on both the body and the back of the neck. Body of this model has it`s standard Hot Rod shape and features the detachable arm rest. It is made of east American maple, like the neck which runs through it. Body of this outstanding six-stringer is fit with an on-board preamp. Preamp can be connected to the headphones for a completely silent play, or to an actual amp. Also, this Hot Rod can be connected to an MP3 player so that the players can jam to their favorite songs. Traditionally, there`s only a bridge-positioned humbucker pickup with volume and tone controls. Neck is made of east American maple and rocks the series standard contour in the back. On the top, there`s a standard ebonized rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium-sized frets.
