South Star is a model from Titanic Guitars made in honor of 100 years of the Titanic ship launch. There are four acoustic-electric and four electric guitars in the series, and every one of them is set for a one hundred copy limited run. Names and some aesthetic features draw the inspiration from the original story of Titanic. South star is the second solid bodied model and it is the pair of the North Star, the blue SG-like model. South Star is a yellow colored, double cutaway model with a body made of ash. The top is flat and unbound, but features a black pickguard in the upper portion. The bridge is the same as on the North Star, a wrap-around with chrome plating. There are two single coil pickups, one P-90 styled pickup in the bridge and one in neck position, respectively. They are manipulated with a set of split volume and tone controls and a three-way toggle switch. The neck is made of maple and sports a set-in joint. Fingerboard is made of ebony and equipped with 22 frets with dot inlays. Vintage styled tuning machines and D`Addario strings wrap the story up for the South Star.
