JP50 is one of three currently active models in the JP series. This line of double-cut guitars is rooted in the Music Man catalog (Sterling is the budget-friendly sub-brand of Music Man). Also, this is the basic model of the series and it comes with pretty strong specs list, considering it`s position on the market. Body of this six-string axe is solid, double-cut and made of basswood. Similar to it`s upscale siblings, the JP50 has contoured top. There is no top wood cover on this one. Bridge section is equipped with a standard non-locking tremolo unit with string-through construction and chrome plating. Pickups installed in the front are passive. Bolted maple neck is topped with a standard 24-fret rosewood fingerboard.
Guitarists who reviewed JP50 play these music styles:progressive, neoclassical, jazz, fusion, rock, metal, blues, christian rock, progressive metal, power metal, country
