Squier is one of the less typical sub brands in the guitar industry. It does share the targeted population with a majority of other sub-brands, but the philosophy with which Fender guides Squier is a bit different. While still aiming at beginners, young adults and players on the hunt for a decent quality guitar with a decent price, Squier also offers some originality. Some of the series in Squier`s catalog can not be found in Fender catalog. One such series is Vintage Modified, where models combine the most popular vintage features with modern design and construction. For the summer of 2013, Vintage Modified series is updated with two Cabronita Telecaster models. One of them is the Vintage Modified Cabronita Telecaster with Bigsby. Solid and single-cut body of this model is topped with a classic adjust-o-matic/Bigsby vibrato bridge combo. In it`s front, there is a bridge position single coil and a Fidelitron humbucker in the neck position. Controls unit is made up of the master volume and a three-way toggle pickup switch. Neck on this model is made of maple and it features the modern C contour in the back. It is topped with a 22-fret fingerboard made of maple.
