Vintage Modified Baritone Jazz Bass is the latest addition to the popular Squier`s Vintage Modified range. It comes with a 30" scale of a short-scaled bass, but instead of four, it has six guitar strings. This distinctive Jazzmaster is tuned down to the standard A tuning (high A on the 1st string). Solid and vintage-styled body of this exquisite axe rocks the classic Jazzmaster contour with a rare and exclusive Antigua color scheme with a matching pickguard. It is finished in polyurethane gloss and fit with chrome-plated hardware. Flat-top body is made of basswood and paired with a bolted maple neck. On it`s top, instead of the standard Jazzmaster bridge unit, this Baritone has a hardtail six-saddled bridge with top-load construction (a quite rare feat for Fender six-stingers). Pickups in the front are Duncan Designed soapbars with aged plastic covers and a standard set of knobs and switches. This standard controls unit includes a master volume, master tone and a three-way toggle pickup switch. Maple neck is fit with a C contour and has the standard polyurethane gloss finish. On it`s top, there is a 21-fret rosewood fingerboard with elegant binding, 1.65" wide synthetic bone nut, pearloid block inlays, medium jumbo frets and 9.5" radius.
