There are better guitars than this one, but Squier by Fender really did cover some of the market demands with Standard Stratocaster model. It's actually a fairly good instrument that behaves well for the price asked. It might suit your playing style too, so it's worth checking out.

Carefully chosen set of features makes Squier by Fender's Standard Stratocaster a really good guitar. Some might say that it lacks some of the features, but Standard Stratocaster's features still fulfill an average musician's needs. You won't be wrong to go for this axe 'cause it has a wide array of different sounds and a lot of possibilities for tweaking the sound to make it yours. Getting one of Squier by Fender's Standard Stratocaster is a way to go.

Sounding well, Squier by Fender's Standard Stratocaster delivers what it's built for; a nice sounding guitar that needs to be played a bit before your playing starts sounding right. Not one of the “huge tone out of the box” models, Standard Stratocaster is still very much recognizable for the nice tone it provides when played through the right amplifier, so one could say that Squier by Fender did a nice job after all.

Another reliable model from Squier by Fender brings us to a guitar that handles well and plays well. Finish doesn't feel bad at all, and the hardware is good. It stays in tune for most of the time, so if you take the time to adjust the action & pickups the way you want them, you will feel comfortable while playing Standard Stratocaster.
