Squier is updating their catalog big time, and Artist Series is quickly expanding. One of the latest arrivals is Stone Sour/Slipknot guitarist Jim Root with his Telecaster signature model. This model was introduced at the NAMM Show earlier this year. One of the hottest and heaviest Teles ever made, Jim Root Signature kicks off with a familiar single cutaway shape. the body is made of solid mahogany and paired with maple neck. As it is customary for Fender and Squier models, there are no bindings or top woods. This signature comes with flat black and flat white color options. The bridge is Fender`s own hardtail with six adjustable saddles, string-through-body construction and black paint. Pickups on Jim Root Tele are laid out in H/H pattern, and they are both passive humbuckers with black covers. Controls consist of a master volume knob with three-position blade pickup switch. The neck is made of maple and features a modern C contour with four-bolt joint. The fingerboard is made of rosewood and sports 22 jumbo frets, dot position inlays, 1.65" synthetic bone nut and 12" radius. Other features on this Tele include: 25-1/2" scale, black hardware and white plastic pickguard.
