Squier Contemporary series is Fender`s latest and, probably, the most ambitious take on the modern rock/metal guitar. Due to the fact that the new Contemporaries have poplar bodies and stock hardware & electronics, their main rivals will be beginner LTD models and Ibanez GIO axes. Contemporary Stratocaster HH is the main model of the series and the embodiment of the Squier COntemporary concept. It rocks 25.5" scale, a flat 12" fingerboard radius, zebra-coiled humbucking pickups, and synchronized tremolo bridge. Pearl White, Metallic Black, and Dark Metallic Red are the currently available color options. Pricing details haven`t been disclosed yet. Other notable features include a 3-ply plastic pickguard, four-bolt neck joint, 22-fret maple fingerboard (1.65" nut, black dot inlays), synchronized tremolo bridge, and die-cast tuning machines.
