Ultra Cure is the signature model made for Robert Smith of The Cure fame. His series is currently made up of two models, the Ultra Cure and Ultra Cure VI. Both models feature flat-top bodies with Ultra contours, set in neck joints and Seymour Duncan pickups. Ultra Cure is solid, flat-top guitar made of mahogany. The only color scheme for this model is Goth Black with gloss finish and chrome hardware. Bridge section on this model is made up of two pieces, the tune-o-matic bridge in the front and stoptail bar in the back. In it`s front, there are two Seymour Duncan '59 humbuckers. Neck on this model is set in and made of maple. It is topped with a 24-fret fingerboard made of rosewood.

A Schecter Ultra with slightly altered body , 24 frets moon and star rosewood fingerboard neck through body , Grover tuners , Tune-O-Matic bridge , 2 Duncan 59s with coil tap , 2 volume pots and 1 master volume . Solid Mahogany. Guitar is flawless . VERY solid and VERY heavy . Guitar stays in perfect tune over time and just plays beautifully . The neck is just perfect . Not too thick and not too thin ( at least for me ) Despite a thick laquer on the back of the neck it still plays smooth and fast . This guitar is flat out amazing . I bought this guitar after buying a Porl Thompson and being THAT impressed with it . This guitar is no different . High end components throughout and made beautifully . A rock solid guitar that just plays beautifully . Just like my Porl Thompson the Ultracure just blows me away equally . Being new to Schecter ( normally a Fender Offset type) this Schecter just outplays my Fenders . Between the quality , playability and versatility I am just blown away by Schecter and the Ultracure . Even without a tone knob the guitar just can be both fat sounding and bright and sparkly . I feel this guitar is best for rock, jazz and just about everything else but metal without a pedal or processor . Naturally the guitar just sounds amazingly clean . For a guitar in this price range it is just astonishing . A solid , versatile guitar that to me is just beautiful ( granted , the shape is not for everyone ) .
