Synyster Gates of the Avenged Sevenfold fame is a guitarist who needs no introduction, as he is one of the most important axe men of the New Wave of American Heavy Metal movement which brought back melody and guitar solo back into the heavy music. He is also the best selling signature artist in Schecter catalog. His signature series is based on the awesome Avenger body style (Schecter`s original design) and is the biggest one in Schecter catalog. Synyster Gates Custom S is being refreshed and revitalized for 2014. It comes in three stunning color schemes: White w/Gold Pinstripes, gloss finish and gold-plated hardware, Black w/Silver Pinstripes, gloss finish and black hardware and Black w/Gold Pinstripes, gloss finish and black hardware. Body is solid, double-cut and made of mahogany (series standard material). On it`s top, there is an original Floyd Rose double-locking bridge. It`s paired up with a standard three-screw locking nut on the fingerboard. Pickups combo is made up of a Seymour Duncan SH-8 Invader in the bridge and a Schecter Sustainiac in the neck position. In addition to the standard controls unit (master volume, master tone and a three-way toggle pickup switch), Synyster Gates Custom S is equipped with a pair of mini-switches. One turns the Sustainiac pickup on and off, while the other one selects the modus operandi of the said pickup. Super fast mahogany neck is fit with a thin C contour in the back and an ebony fingerboard on the top. Standard set in neck joint is accompanied by the now standard ultra access lower cutaway. Ebony fretboard is fit with a set of 24 extra jumbo-sized frets, custom set of inlays with a death bat at the 12th fret, 14" radius and a locking string nut. Grover`s tuners on the headstock complete the specs list.
