Schecter is thoroughly reconstructing the catalog for 2013 and many new models and series are being introduced. All sections are being refreshed and updated to be ready for 2013 NAMM Show. One of the series being reinforced is the Custom series. It is a line of exclusive Schecter models with top shelf materials and appointments. S-1 Custom III is among the novelties introduced for 2013 and it comes with a solid double cut body made entirely of mahogany. Shape of the body and the slightly asymmetrical horns of the cutaway are very reminiscent of the iconic SG from Gibson Guitars. Body does not feature any binding, nor it has a top wood cover. Schecter does install a plastic white pickguard on this model. It matches the beautiful Vintage White color scheme with high gloss finish. Bridge section is equipped with a tune-o-matic bridge and a trapezoid tailpiece in the back. Seymour Duncan Alnico II Pro humbuckers are installed in the front. Neck on this model is made of three pieces of mahogany and it features a standard contour in the back. It is topped with a 22-fret fingerboard made of ebony. Hardware is plated in gold, tuners are locking Schecters and scale measures 24-3/4".
