PT series is one of the mainstays of Schecter catalog, having featured a multitude of models thus far. For 2017, Schecter has prepared the stripped-down PT Special, a guitar very reminiscent of the classic Telecaster. Black and 3-Tone Sunburst are the only available color options thus far.
PT Special kicks off with a solid and single-cut body made of swamp ash (1-ply creme binding, Telecaster-like pickguard on top), maple neck (bolt-on neck joint, regular C profile) and a 22-fret fingerboard (maple on 3 Tone Sunburst and rosewood on Black).
Important hardware adn electronics features include a tray bridge (string-through-body construction, vintage three-saddled design), Schecter pickups (Diamond VT-1 in the bridge and Diamond V-90 in the neck) and Grover Vintage tuners.
