Schecter Hellraiser Extreme C-1 FR Review

Hellraiser Extreme C-1 FR is a Floyd Rose variant of Extreme C-1 and is the most expensive model of the series. Hellraiser Extreme is brand new division of Hellraiser Series and serves as it`s top line of models. The greatest difference is in Extreme`s body construction with a maple/walnut neck which runs through it. Hellraiser Extreme C-1 FR comes as a solid bodied, double cutaway model made of mahogany body with flamed maple top. The top is carved and surrounded with multiple layers of white and black binding with abalone. Color options available for this model are three-color sunburst, see-thru black satin and crimson red burst satin. The bridge option on this model is a Floyd Rose 1000 Series bridge with a locking nut at the opposite side of the scale. Pickups on this model are Extreme line`s standard EMG active 81 and 89R humbuckers with coil splitting ability. Controls are made up of two volume knobs with push-pull switches, master tone and three-position blade switch. The neck is made of maple and walnut and runs through the entire length of the body. It also has ultra access cutaway and contoured heel. The fingerboard can be made either of maple or ebony. In either case, it features 24 extra jumbo frets and gothic cross position inlays. The MSRP for Hellraiser Extreme C-1 FR is set at $1,569.
