Demon series is among the basic series of Schecter Guitar Research catalog, along with the Omen lines. It competes in the lower portion of the market with a wide palette of models based on the classic Schecter designs. Demon 6 FR is Floyd Rose-equipped variant of the basic Demon 6 model. It has a solid, double-cut basswood body with carved top. Even though the top is carved, Demon 6 FR has no decorative top wood cover. This model features series standard black hardware and gloss finish. Double-locking Floyd Rose bridge is licensed and it features a pair of Duncan Designed humbuckers in the front. Series standard controls unit comes with them. Bolt-on neck is made of maple and it is topped with a standard 24-fret rosewood fingerboard.

Bought this beautify a few years ago as a spare for my main guitar which is an eighties Stratocaster. However, now it is the other way around: The Schecter Demon 6 FR is my favorite and the strat is only for when strings break. I love the way it feels and the full body sound - both clean (using compressor and harmonizer) as well as all the ranges of distortion. This is extremely good value for money. My only slight reservation is the complexity of changing strings.
