Damien Platinum series offers a unique range of metal-oriented guitars with focus on performance. This does not mean the looks have been neglected, only that a larger portion of budget was spent to make a decent sounding guitar that won`t fall apart. Schecter delivers Damien Platinum series with supreme tonal and build quality, accompanied by simple and elegant looks. Platinum 7 is series only seven-stringer. It comes with a solid, double-cut body made of mahogany. There`s no top wood, though top is bound in platinum binding. Bridge is a tune-o-matic with string-through construction. EMG active humbuckers are controlled with a standard set of knobs and a three-way toggle pickup switch. Three-piece maple neck is topped with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard.
