Blackjack series is one of the most important and prominent lines of electric guitars in the Schecter catalog. This series, along with Hellraiser, Damien and Banshee, forms the backbone of the guitar section of the catalog. For 2014, it is being updated with a multitude of new models. Novelties come with six, seven and even eight strings. Blackjack A-8 is one of several eight-stringers introduced this year. It comes with a standard Avenger body made of mahogany. It is carved on top and sports the standard bolt-on neck joint in the back. A-8 is available only in the Black color with high gloss finish and black hardware. On the top, there is the standard hardtail bridge with eight saddles and string-through-body construction. Extended range versions of Seymour Duncan Nazgul and Sentient are installed in the bridge and neck positions, respectively. Master volume, master tone (with push/pull switch) and a three-way toggle switch comprise the controls unit. Three-piece mahogany neck is fit with a thin C contour in the back and a 24-fret ebony fingerboard on the top. Extra jumbo-sized frets, 2.12" wide black TUSQ nut and compound radius are the main features of this model. Locking Schecter tuners complete the specs list.
