As a fairly young series and a recent addition to the family of Schecter`s electric guitar series, Banshee range proved to be just the thing the catalog needed. For the 2015 NAMM, the series is expanding into new territories with the high-class Elite section. Among it`s ten models, there are five right and five left-hand oriented axes which is a pretty neat feat. Banshee Elite 8 Left Handed is, of course, an eight-string lefty (one of very few available on the entire eight-string market) and series most extreme model (along with it`s right-handed twin). 28" baritone scale, Schecter`s SuperCharger Mach-8 humbuckers (hand-wound humbuckers from Schecter`s Custom Shop division come with a series standard control unit - master volume/master tone/5-position blade switch) and supreme selection of tonewoods give this beast an unholy growl. Low F# and B string tones pack an enormous, gut-wrenching punch, while at the same time possessing an unbelievable level of definition and accuracy. The base for this infernal tone is made up of swamp ash, maple, walnut and ebony. Swamp ash wings are connected to the maple/walnut neck in the middle to form one of the most stable and firm bodies available on the market. Flamed maple cap covers the body, adding the crisp and focus to the tone. Maple/walnut neck is thin, fast and extremely durable. Ebony fingerboard on it`s top offers 24 extra jumbo frets with offset dot inlays, 2.125" wide TUSQ nut (this gives a very comfortable amount of space between the strings) and 20" radius for easy bending. Eight-saddled Hipshot bridge and Schecter tuners make sure that this beast stays in tune no matter what.
