Schecter`s Banshee series aims at players who prefer the vintage `80s Soloist design and simple construction. Introduced couple of years ago, Banshee has already risen to the status of one of the key series in Schecter catalog. For 2014, it has received twelve new models and this is the new basic seven-stringer in the lineup. Solid and double-cut body of this model is made of the alder and maple. Alder makes up the base, while the two-piece flame maple cap is on the top. Trans Purple Burst and Trans Black Burst color schemes are included into the palette for this mighty seven-stringer. Both are finished in gloss and both feature black chrome hardware. Maple/walnut neck is made of several laminates and is bolted to the body. Contour in the back is the super fast "Ultra Thin C". On the top, this Banshee is fit with a 24-fret ebony fingerboard. Extra jumbo frets, offset dot inlays and TUSQ nut complete the fingerboard. Electronics unit is fit with a pair of EMG 81 and 85 pickups with extended seven-string range. Master volume, master tone and a three-position blade switch comprise the controls. Bridge behind the pickups is a hardtail with seven adjustable saddles and string-through-body construction.
