Saga is a super brand which consists of many sub-brands of varying orientations. Gladiator, for example, is oriented towards the production of the hard rock and metal-oriented electric guitars with 1980s design and tone. Also, Gladiator models fall into the beginner and lower intermediate categories of the market and aim to challenge the well established Epiphone, Squier and LTD axes found in these categories. GL-281 is a lower-intermediate guitar with a solid and double-cut body, bolt-on construction and vintage design. This Superstrat rocks the basswood body/maple neck combination, along with the licensed Floyd Rose bridge, three passive pickups in H/S/H configuration and a set of locking tuning machines. Maple neck is fit with a C contour in the back and a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard on the top.
