Santana is one of those guitar players who do not need any special introduction, a living legend and godfather of Latin blues and rock. His story with Paul Reed Smith goes back before PRS was established (1985), to the days when Paul was starting out as a master luthier. SE Santana model for 2017 is heavily inspired by these "Pre-Factory" models, but due to the financial constraints it features a pretty standard SE series specs list. Nevertheless, this vintage/modern short-scale sports following core construction appointments: solid mahogany body, figured maple top (beveled, bound in creme, two-piece construction), mahogany neck (wide fat profile, glued to the body) and rosewood fingerboard (24-1/2" scale, 24 frets, Bird inlays).
