Paul Allender is not new to PRS guitars, and PRS is not new to extreme metal. Cradle Of Filth`s lead guitarist has been playing PRS models since 2000, and PRS had metal guitarists as their signature artists for quite a few years now. This one is a 2012 new model with Paul`s name and it hails from SE Signature series. SE Allender is a solid, double cutaway model made of a mahogany back and flamed maple veneer cap. This body is paired with a maple neck to construct the foundations for the immense tonal quality. This model features a carved top with no pickguaards on it and it comes only in purple color with gloss finish. Maple neck features a wide thin contour and a set-in joint with a wide and pushed back lower cutaway. Pickups compartment is made up of EMG81 and EMG89, two active humbuckers with coil splitting functions. They are controlled through master volume, master tone, push-pull switches and a three-way toggle pickup switch. The bridge is a PRS made non-locking tremolo with nickel plating. Rosewood fingerboard is featuring 24 jumbo sized frets with bat position inlays. 25" scale, nickel hardware and PRS tuning machines finish the list of specs for SE Allender.
