The most important criteria and requirement for becoming a part of PRS Guitars Signature Series member is the quality of the music and the quality of play a certain guitarist exhibits. Also, the constant pursuit of both sonic and technical perfection is of utmost importance. PRS Signature series might not be as wide as signature series of other brands, but it features hand-picked musicians. Mikael Akerfeldt of Opeth is one of them. Solid-bodied single-cut is made of mahogany back with a carved flame maple top. This model features a gold-plated tremolo bridge with string-through construction. In it`s front, PRS installs HFS humbucker in the bridge and Vintage Bass humbucker in the neck position. Three-piece maple neck is set in and it`s topped with a 24-fret ebony fingerboard.

This Axe is a excellent guitar and I love the wider fret board ,and eal Ebony with inlays for under $700 is unheard of. This guitar looks beautiful and looks like a $1500-2000 Guitar .it plays like a dream very fast fret board and the versatility is great from a classic tone . To a heavy metal tempo with good adjustability, Also very good balance of medium weight ,highly recommended !!
