SC 245 Soapbar is largely the same as it`s sibling, the SC 245, but it has single-coil pickups, instead of the humbuckers. These single coils are made by PRS and they feature the signature PRS sound with huge sustain provided by the body and neck, which are made of top quality wood. These pickups do not feature coil tapping function and are equipped with a standard set of controls, which includes two tone knobs and two volume knobs. Pickup switch is a three-way toggle pickup selector, located at the upper bout of the body. Bridge section on this model is a standard one, it includes only a stop bar with top load construction. This bridge is plated in nickel and the rest of the hardware matches it. In combination with PRS tuners, this bridge keeps the tuning and intonation in perfect order. Body of SC 245 Soapbar is made of mahogany back and maple top. plain maple in used for clear finishes and flamed maple for bursts. Body is solid and has a carved top. Neck is made of mahogany, as well and it features the Pattern contour in the back. It`s topped with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with bird inlays. Scale is 24-1/2" long.
