Vela concept is one of the alternative takes on the Custom 22 concept, as it brings a similar (though not quite identical) body with a beveled top and a characteristic pickups combo. S2 range offers three Vela models, two solid and one limited edition semi-hollow. S2 Vela is a solid-bodied model, equipped with an asymmetrical double-cut body, 25" scale and set-in neck. PRS offers six color options (four solid, two transparent), all with gloss finish and nickel hardware. Depending on the color option, black or white pickguard is featured on the body. Core construction features include an all-mahogany body, mahogany neck (Pattern profile) and rosewood fingerboard (22 frets, dot inlays). Major hardware and electronics features include a PRS plate-style bridge, low mass locking tuners and Vela pickups set (Starla humbucker/Type-D single-coil).
