Most brands adhere to a fairly uniform system of tiers and ranks within their catalogs. For example, most of the brands make their Junior, Special and X models with stripped down specs lists, affordable substitute tonewoods and cheaper hardware, while the real deal is saved for Standard, Deluxe and Custom-labeled models. This system is mostly present in the catalogs of US manufacturers. Paul Reed Smith guitars are no exception to this rule. Custom 22 Maple Top comes with a solid double-cut mahogany body with carved maple top. It features a tremolo bridge with string-through construction on it`s top. Dragon II treble and bass pickups are accompanied by master volume, master tone and a five-position rotary switch. Set in mahogany neck is topped with a 22-fret ebony fingerboard.
