25th Anniversary SE Custom 24 is one of many models introduced back in 2010 as a part of celebration of 25 years in business. PRS Guitars were founded back in 1985 and since then, they`ve climbed the market ladder and are now one of the most respected brands out there. 25th Anniversary SE Custom 24 is the limited edition of the regular SE Custom 24 model. It comes with a solid, double-cut body made of mahogany back and quilted maple top. PRS tremolo bridge has string-through construction and nickel plating. Pickups installed in it`s front are SE HFS bridge humbucker and SE Vintage Bass neck humbucker. They feature a standard controls unit. Set in maple neck is topped with a 24-fret fingerboard made of rosewood.

Features: 2010 PRS SE Custom 24 25th Anniversary model in Scarlet Red. Made in Korea. Wide thin 24-fret mahogany neck with faux-pearl bird inlays, mahogany body with quilted maple top. Trem bridge, HH pickup config with three-position switch. // 9 Sound: Ridiculous tone and sustain at this price point, just really outstanding. The guitar projects very well accoustically, and sounds awesome with a tube amp. Screams at high gain and cleans up beautifully - it has a really nice, versatile tonal character too, with plenty of room to express yourself. Electronics are rock solid, and volume and tone controls are very smooth. Very impressive. // 10 Action, Fit & Finish: Great build quality on these. I was expecting good things, but was pleasantly surprised. The folks in Korea have clearly upped their game. It is a joy to behold. This guitar is absolutely gorgeous, and playability is amazing. I cannot find a single flaw. // 10 Reliability & Durability: Very solid construction - all of the joints are tight, finishing is outstanding, although the PRS headstock design is prone to chipping in my experience. Hardware is fine, including the tuners. I always install strap locks, but the SE strap buttons are actually pretty good. // 9 Impression: Highly recommended for just about any music style - I play a little bit of everything - but more a rock axe than a twanger. The neck alone is worth the price of the guitar, but everything else excels as well. Just a really pleasant surprise, exceeded all expectations. You could easily pay $1500 and not get a better guitar. Do yourself a favor and take this one for a spin. //10
