Line 6 has first caused a revolution in the segment of guitar amplification and has recently moved to guitars. Line 6 continues to employ their fantastic electronics and software on axes, themselves and keeps revolutionizing the music world. New model introduced for 2013 NAMM is named JTV-89F. It is a model from the Jason Tyler Variax series and it is introduced as one of the models with highest expectations in 2013. JTV-89F features a soloist-like double-cut body with flat top and bolted neck. Body is made of mahogany in it`s entirety and it`s paired with a maple neck. There are no bindings, or pickguards on this model. Bridge section is equipped with a licensed Floyd Rose bridge made by Graphtech. String nut on the fingerboard is a locking one, also made by Graphtech. Pickups on this model are custom made for Line 6. They feature Alnico magnets and standard Variax controls. Piezo pickup is installed under the bridge. Master volume and master tone knobs are accompanied by mode and tuning knobs for Variax. Five position blade switch completes the controls. Three-piece maple neck features very slim and fast contour in the back and it`s topped with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard. Die-cast tuners, black hardware and 25-1/2" scale complete the specs list.
