Whereas the regular DC seven-stringers sport regular 25-1/2" scales, DC7X is outfitted with baritone 27: scale (inherited from the eight-stringed DC800). other than that, this is your regular DC7/700 guitar. Starting price is set at $1,099. DC7X`s chassis is made up of alder wings, 5-piece maple neck running through the middle and a 24-fret ebony fingerboard on top of the neck. Like the rest of the models, DC7X can be customized with a huge array of tonewoods, tonewood combinations, color & finish options, inlay & cosmetics designs, as well as several alternative hardware finishes (chrome is default). Extended-range Lithium pickups fit perfectly with 27" scale and bring out the best from the guitar`s extended low end, managing to not compromise on Kiesel`s hallmark tonal clarity and definition. Seven-saddled Hipshot bridge and Kiesel`s locking tuners wrap up the specs list.
