Jackson`s Kelly is, along with Gibson`s Explorer and Dean`s Z, the most prominent exponent of the classic Explorer shape. It is the youngest of three (introduced in 1982), as well as the only one with the standard 25-1/2" scale. X Series Kelly KEXM is a modern, affordable six-stringer, with passive electronics, double-locking bridge and neck-through-body construction (MSRP is set at $884.34). The core of this axe is made up of basswood body wings (solid, beveled on top), one-piece maple neck (graphite reinforcement rods, one-piece construction, Speed contour) and 24-fret maple fingerboard (compound 12"-16" radius, 25-1/2" scale, jumbo frets, Shark Fin inlays). KEXM Kelly also features a recessed Floyd Rose Special bridge, Jackson die-cast tuners and High Output humbuckers (also Jackson).
