SS1 is Jackson`s take on the PRS and double-cut Les Paul-styled design. This one is a solid-bodied, double-cut guitar with almost symmetrical horns and carved top. Body of this model is made of basswood back and ash top. There is no binding, nor Jackson installs a pickguard on top of this six-stringed axe. Body is black and finished in satin. Hardware is plated in chrome. Pointy headstock features a set of six die-cast tuners in 3+3 arrangement. Bridge is a regular tremolo with string-through construction. It is a regular, non-locking trem bridge. Jackson humbuckers with open-coil design sit in both the bridge and neck positions. Bolt-on neck is made of maple and it is topped with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.
