Soloist models are, usually, saved for the Pro and signature series. But, several of them have made it into the X, and even JS series (mostly in recent years). Soloist SLXQ is one of the X series Soloists. Despite belonging to the somewhat lowly X line, Soloist SLXQ features neck-through-body construction, speed neck profile and the iconic sharktooth inlays. Body of this affordable Soloist is made of basswood base and a quilted maple top. All four color options feature the gloss finish, as well as the black hardware. Floyd Rose installed on the top is from Schaller`s Special series. In its front, Jackson has opted for EMG pickups, But, not the famous 81, 85 or 89. 57 and 66 are also absent, as SLXQ rocks the passive EMG HZ (H4 variant).
