SLS-3 Soloist '08 is a rare bird in the Jackson catalog. Jackson gravitates towards the alder/maple wood combination, like it`s parent company, Fender. This type of construction is simpler, easier to work with and gives great metal tone when combined with Seymour Duncan and EMG pickups. However, jackson has reached to the other side and has fit this six-string Soloist with all-mahogany construction. Body is solid, double-cut and made entirely of mahogany. It is available in Snow White, Black and Satin Black. Bridge section sports a lone tune-o-matic bridge with string-through construction. Seymour Duncan Zebra humbuckers are installed in the front. Neck on this one is made of mahogany and it runs through the body. 24-fret fingerboard is made of ebony.
