Jackson Guitars are at the forefront of heavy metal music for decades and that thing does not seem likely to change, as Jackson keeps putting out better and better guitars all the time. Wide selection of models is available in Jackson`s catalog and for the fall of 2012 Pro Series gets heavily reinforced. One of the main models to update the Pro lines is SL2 Pro Series Soloist. This lean and mean axe comes with Jackson`s familiar soloist body, it`s double cut, solid and equipped with neck-through-body construction. Alder is the material of choice for this outstanding guitar. Satin Black and Quicksilver are color options available for this model and Jackson offers contrasting hardware paint for both colors. Black hardware is on Quicksilver and Satin Krome on Satin Black. Binding is also aligned with hardware. Bridge section sports a recessed Floyd Rose double locking tremolo bridge with locking nut positioned at the opposite side of the 25-1/2" scale. Pickups are provided by Seymour Duncan and combo for SL2 includes JB TB4 in the bridge and direct mount `59 in the neck. Master volume, master tone and a three-way toggle switch comprise the controls. Neck is made of three pieces of maple and it`s equipped with speed contour. Oily finish is applied in the back. Neck runs through the entire length of the body and it`s topped with a 24-fret ebony fingerboard. Alumiloid Piranha inlays, 12"-16" radius and 1-11/16" wide string nut complete the fingerboard. Tuning machines are Jackson`s own die-casts in in-line arrangement.
