JS tier in Jackson`s catalog is reserved for the beginner class and lower intermediate class models. It`s made up of a huge guitar section and a small four and five-string unit.
JS3 Kelly IV comes with a solid Kelly body made of basswood base and a quite nice flame maple top (classic two-piece top). Bolt-on maple neck is fast and comfortable, and features a standard 21-fret rosewood fingerboard on top. Trans Black with gloss finish, white binding and black hardware is currently the only option available.
The fact that it`s JS tier Kelly, means that all the hardware and electronics are Jackson. Bridge and middle pickups are Jackson`s High Output humbuckers (two volume knobs and three-band EQ in controls). Top-load bridge and tuners are also Jackson.
