SIX is Ron Label`s S series section. It features uncompromising metal machines, poised with S series charms and elegance. Models of the SIX series come in with passive DiMarzio pickups, opposing the active EMGs found in RGIR and its sibling series. SIX20DBG kicks off with a double-cut S body made of mahogany base and bubinga top (recently, a very popular combination across Ibanez catalog). Bolt-on neck is made of three pieces of maple and bubinga and is topped with a 24-fret fingerboard made of ebony (jumbo frets, locking nut, 15.75" radius). Bridge position is occupied by the legendary Tone Zone, while the neck position belongs to the equally popular Air Norton humbucker. These two bad boys deliver the scorching metal tone which has converted more unbelievers and naysayers than any other passive pickups out there. Edge tremolo bridge and die-cast tuners wrap up the specs list.
