Ibanez has introduced six new S series models into the Iron Label range this autumn. Two six-stringers, two seven-stringers and two eight-stringers are being unveiled couple of months before the 2014 NAMM. SIR models feature spartan styling and design, as opposed to the elegant SIX models. SIR line is opened with SIR70FD model. It is a solid and double-cut guitar with S series contours and iron Label styling. It is entirely made of mahogany and it`s paired with a bolt-on neck. There is no decorative top wood cover on SIR models, as is on the SIX models. On the top, SIR70FD features the standard Gibraltar six-saddle bridge in black variant and a combo of Dimarzio passive pickups. Tone Zone is installed in the bridge while the middle and neck positions feature the True Velvet and Air Norton pickups, respectively. master volume, master tone and a five-position blade switch complete the controls unit. Maple/bubinga neck is a three-piece neck with bolt-on joint and Wizard contour (standard for all six models introduced). On the top, there is a 24-fret fingerboard made of rosewood (SIZ models come with ebony fingerboards) with jumbo frets, 1.69" nut and 15/75" radius.
