S670QM is one of many novelties Ibanez has introduced at this year`s NAMM show. It belongs to the standard S series and it is ranked in the intermediate section of the market. This model is the successor of the S570QM and inherits it`s main features. Solid and double-cut mahogany body of this model is made of mahogany back and quilted maple top. This combination gives a balanced tone with a strong low end and super clear mids. Color palette is not very wide, as it includes only two options: Sapphire Blue and Transparent Gray Burst. Both are finished in satin and both have black hardware. On the top of the carved mahogany/maple body, Ibanez installs a six-saddled Edge locking trem bridge. In it`s front, there are two Infinity series humbuckers and one single coil. They`re installed in the classic H/S/H pattern. Master volume, master tone and a five-position blade switch comprise the controls unit. Neck on this model is the standard three-piece maple neck with Wizard contour and standard bolt-on joint. On it`s top, Ibanez installs the regular rosewood fingerboard with 24 jumbo-sized frets, offset dot inlays and 1.69" wide locking string nut.

I'm not much of a fantastic guitar player. I just love music and try to learn songs and play along my fav bands. my humble electric guitar history runs from Fender Strat to Gibson Explorer to Charvel and in between a few Squier Strats. I fell in love with Ibanez simply because of their slick neck and looks. Also the wide variety of designs that they carry. I was a few weeks too late to get myself a brand new S1XXV in either yellow or green ((((DAM)))) but this year i treated myself to the S670QM which is as close as i could get to the S1XXV. The sound is great. i tend to find the floydrose system somehow keeps making the guitar going out of tune. I also had to fiddle a bit with its truss rod! so i guess as much as i am in love with this guitar i can call it "My trouble guitar". but dont let me put you off. it's a brilliant guitar. :D Rock on every one.
