S571DXQM is a brand new model introduced into the S series at this year`s NAMM show in Anaheim, Ca. It was introduced shoulder to shoulder, or shall we say headstock to headstock, with other Ibanez updates for 2013. This one is a classic S series model with a hardtail Gibraltar Standard bridge, six strings and solid body. Bridge section is equipped with the six-saddled Gibraltar bridge with string-through-body construction and black paint over it. Triple treat of Infinity pickups lies in the front. Bridge and neck pickups are humbuckers, while the middle pickup is a single coil. These are passive and feature the basic controls unit, which is made up of master volume, master tone and a five-position blade switch. Neck is the standard Ibanez neck, it is a three-piece maple neck with Wizard contour and gloss finish in the back and the four-bolt joint. This neck is what comes to mind when Ibanez playability and comfort are mentioned, this one sets the standards. On it`s top Ibanez installs a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard. Frets are jumbo-sized and smoothly finished. Body of S57DXQM is solid, double-cut and made of mahogany base with quilted maple top.
