RGIR28FE is an eight string axe from the Iron Label series in Ibanez catalog. This series is a new one and it offers stripped down metal-oriented guitars made for serious metal heads who prefer performance over flash. Models in this series feature two styles. One is taken from the RG series and the other from the S series. RGIR28FE is derived from the RG series and offers a solid, double-cut body made of basswood. Deep cutaway, flat top and contoured back are main features of the body. On it`s top banez installs a hardtail bridge with eight saddles and black paint over it. All hardware is black on this Iron Label model and the body is painted black, as well. Pickups come from EMG. 808 humbuckers are installed in both the bridge and neck positions. Master volume, killswitch and three-position blade switch complete the controls unit. Maple/bubinga neck is made of three laminates of wood and is topped with a standard 24-fret fingerboard made of rosewood.
