Seven-stringed guitars are becoming as common as six-stringers, mostly thanks to the popularization of extreme metal sub-genres. These axes might even become a standard, replacing the good old six-string guitars. For the time being, Ibanez produces some of the best models in this category and RG927QM is a proof of that. It is a solid and double cut seven-stringer made of basswood base with quilted maple top. Red Desert is currently the only color scheme, with more expected in the near future. Ibanez opted for their own Edge tremolo system in the bridge section. Double humbucker combo is selected for this model. It includes two passive pickups. Five piece neck is made of maple and walnut and it is topped with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard.
