Several years ago, Ibanez was one of the pioneers of the seven-string segment of the market and, today, they`re leading the eight-string guitar segment. Big, loud and surprisingly playable RG8PB is one of several eight-strings Ibanez has introduced for the summer 2015. It comes with a solid, flat mahogany body with a marvelous poplar burl cap on the top. Bound in creme, top is also equipped with an eight-saddled Gibraltar bridge (Ibanez` own style of the hardtail bridge) and a pair of active EMG 808 humbuckers (small controls unit has a volume knob, a tone knob and a three-position blade switch). Five-piece maple/walnut neck is fit with a Wizard II profile in the back, and a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard on top.
