RG Prestige is the top tier of the RG range, surpassed only by occasional custom and limited edition models. Ibanez`s 2017 NAMM lineup has brought almost a dozen new RG Prestige models, including this one. RG657MSK starts off with a solid, double-cut mahogany body with silky oak top (a premiere appearance of the oak top in Ibanez catalog). It is finished in Sunset Burst, with white binding around the edges. The neck is made of five pieces of maple and walnut (and features Super Wizard contour in the back). Fingerboard on its top is made of birds eye maple (jumbo frets with prestige fret edge treatment, black dot inlays, locking nut, 25-1/2" scale). Major hardware and electronics appointments include Edge locking trem system, DiMarzio`s legendary The Tone Zone/True Velvet/Air Norton pickups set and Gotoh tuners.
