RG655M is a new and refreshed version of the 2014 RG655M. It was introduced at 2017 NAMM and comes in two variants, Cobalt Blue Metallic and White. Both options feature classic RG pickguards in black and black volume and tone pots. RG655M starts off with a solid and double-cut body made of basswood and a five-piece maple/walnut neck. The flat-top body features no decorative wooden tops, nor binding around the edges. The neck on the other side sports the modern Super Wizard profile. 24-fret maple fingerboard (with jumbo-sized frets, black dot inlays, 1.69" locking nut and 16" radius) completes the chassis of this classic/modern RG. Major hardware and electronics appointments include Edge locking tremolo bridge, DiMarzio passive pickups (Tone Zone/True Velvet/Air Norton) and Gotoh tuners.
