Prestige is the top tier of the standard Ibanez catalog. It offers the finest tonewoods, superior craftsmanship, carefully selected hardware appointments, and stylish looks. On top of that, Prestige models have unparalleled playability and tone. For 2015, the Prestige range has been updated with a quartet of maple-fingerboard RG models, and RG652AHM is one of two six-stringers among them. It comes with a solid, double-cut RG body made of ash in its entirety. Back and sides are left unpainted, while the creme-bound top comes painted in the mesmerizing Nebula Green Burst. Back and the heel are contoured according to the customs of the RG tribe. Following the RG conventions, the cutaways run deep, allowing for an easy access tot he 24th fret. Edge tremolo system is featured in the bridge section, while the pickups compartment boasts two DiMarzio humbuckers. Passive/alnico Tone Zone in the bridge and Air Norton (also passive/alnico) comprise the pickups combo. Master volume, master tone and a five-position blade switch make up the standard RG series controls unit. Super thin maple/walnut neck is made of five laminates, and features a 24-fret maple fingerboard on top. Black dot inlays, 1.69" locking nut and side dot markers are featured on the fingerboard. Set of six die-cast tuners is lined on the upper side of the classic RG headstock.
