RG470FM opens the list of updates of RG tremolo series introduced for 2013 at this year`s NAMM show. This model features an unusually luxurious and elegant appearance for the series proud of it`s stripped down guitars made for metal. As it`s not so elegant brethren, young RG470FM offers some formidable performance values, but also pays a lot of attention to how it looks. Body of this model is solid, double cut and made of basswood back with flamed maple top. There`s no binding around the top and there`s no pickguard. Desert Red suits this little rebel perfectly and it`s finished in high gloss. Bridge is an Edge series tremolo with locking string nut on the fingerboard. Pickups are from the Infinity line. Two humbuckers reside in the bridge and neck positions, while the single coil lies in between. Master volume, master tone and five-position blade switch comprise the traditional RG controls unit. Three-piece maple neck is also one of the most standard features of RG Tremolo line. It`s topped with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard.
