RG1451 Prestige is a model from the Ibanez RG series. 1451 is placed in it`s top division, named prestige and it offers some impressive performance abilities. RG1451 is a solid, double cut guitar with a flat body made of basswood. A vast majority of RG models is made of basswood, for it is light, strong and has an even tonal spectrum. Mids and high mids are slightly stronger on this type of wood, but the overall performance is very well balanced. Bridge section on this six-stringer is equipped with a tight-end bridge. Concept is similar to Fender`s hardtail with adjustable saddles and string-through construction. Pickups are passive and installed in H/S/H arrangement. Standard maple neck is bolted to the body and it`s topped with a 24-fret fingerboard made of rosewood.

This guitar has 24 frets, a wizard prestige profile and a bolt on walnut and maple neck. Although there is no Floyd rose tremolo the tight end bridge makes up for this. The guitar has 2 V6F2 hum buckers and a RTS single coil which sounds great. A soon as i picked up the guitar in the store when i was trying it out i immediately felt the quality of the guitar. The guitar finish feel and build are all excellent and exceeds other guitars in its class. I bought the guitar for 1.2K (Australian) and this guitar definitely exceeds the price paid for the guitar. I can depend on this Guitar even though it is your typical Ibanez heavy metal guitar this guitar also provides excellent blues and clean tones. I would definitely buy another one for that price. This was my second electric guitar the more i play it the more i love the guitar, however i would like it to have a Floyd rose but it is still exceptional without it.
