MSM1 is a Premium tier axe and the first signature model Ibanez made for Marco Sfogli, one of the most sought-after session musicians. This is a simple, straightforward instrument, made for both rhythm and lead duties across the rock/metal spectrum. MSM1 is available only in natural color, with combined gloss/satin finish, chrome hardware, and black plastics. Its core construction features include a solid basswood body (American basswood, tummy cut), tineo top (two-piece top, flat contour, creme binding), wenge/bubinga neck (custom MSM profile, 5-piece construction, classic RG headstock w/six in-line tuners), and wenge fingerboard (24 jumbo frets, dot inlays, 12" radius, 25-1/2" scale, 1.69" nut). Main hardware and electronics appointments include a SynchroniZR tremolo bridge, DiMarzio Tone Zone/Air Norton pickups combo, and die-cast tuners.
